The scientific method in daily life ( practical example for the little ones)

in #steempress6 years ago (edited)

Hello friends of @steemiteducation, today I wanted to present you with a publication that parents and teachers can use to explain to our children that science is practically everywhere and in the most ordinary and simple things.

Once you read this information, you will get a super easy technique with which you can help your children to consider and solve problems in a more effective and efficient way, using the Scientific Method.
Science is everywhere, take a look around you and I'm sure you'll get a lot of questions about the world, why is the sky blue, how is it possible that the boats float and the clips do not? or what causes the waves in the sea? Science seeks answers to all those questions in a reasoned and organized way, using a process called scientific method.

The scientific method has several stages:

  • 1. The question. You observe something that you want to know and you ask a question.

  • 2. Information and research on the subject. You will have to read books, search the internet, think a lot, ask experts ...

  • 3. The hypothesis. Once the research is done, you are able to make predictions and formulate a hypothesis, that is, with the data you have, you answer the question.

  • 4. The experiment. You design an experiment to check if your hypothesis is true.

  • 5. Analysis of the results of the experiment and conclusion. The experiment can support the hypothesis, but many times it will not. In this case, do not be discouraged. A failed experiment provides new information that will help you formulate another hypothesis.

In daily life you also apply the scientific method, but without realizing it. Today I wanted to bring you an everyday example that can happen at any time so that you realize that this scientific method and therefore science is applied in almost everything and knowing this method can help us a lot to solve problems much easier and in a more efficient way.

Suppose your math book is not in your school backpack!

  • 1. Question. Where is the book?

  • 2. Research. You think about when you used it for the last time, remember if you lent it to someone, questions at home ...

  • 3. Hypothesis. You think you left it forgotten in the library.

  • 4. Experiment Go to the library and ask if they have found your book. They say yes and they give it back to you.

  • 5. Analysis and conclusion. You had left it forgotten at the library table. Let's suppose that the book is not in the library. Then, using the information you have obtained in your experiment, you formulate another hypothesis: the book may have a friend with whom you went to study at the library. Probably kept it in his backpack by mistake. Now your experiment will be to call your friend and ask him to look in his backpack.

As we have seen the application of this method is super easy, I can guarantee that once the smallest and apply it will be much easier to solve problems and understand why things, science is very fun and is in everywhere, sometimes children associate science with overwhelming and boring concepts that do not interest them and do not attract their attention, with this simple example which can be substituted by any other that can be presented to them in their day to day we can explain to our Children the Scientific Method, we as parents and teachers have the responsibility to use the most appropriate and appropriate strategies so that our children receive the best education, I invite you to put this information into practice and to make your little ones life a little easier.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I wait for you in my next publication.
