Blockchain, Open Education & Digital Citizenship

 

European conference at the Lille University Campus

On 27, 28 and 29 May 2019, the University of Lille, Blockchain Education France and the Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning organised a conference bringing together several European blockchain actors in the service of education. During these three days, we were able to attend presentations on topics such as certification and dematerialization of diplomas and administrative documents, open badges, open education and skills development or European digital identity to promote student mobility for instance.

In the heart of the Lille University Campus, within the LILLIAD Learning Center Innovation Library, academics, researchers, institutions, Blockchain architects and project leaders had the opportunity to exchange ideas and participate to workshops and technical demonstrations.

 

Meetings and exchanges

This enriching moment generated a pooling of projects, experiments and complementary visions from different European countries. The potential of these new digital solutions is demonstrated by taking into account the advantages of the blockchain in the service of education and monitoring technological developments in this sector at European level. This must lead to interoperable projects, in order to promote student mobility, but also to enhance the value of their talents and to be able to certify skills acquired within or outside the university curriculum.

We had the opportunity to participate in this event to present the status of student entrepreneur and the ETENA scheme that accompanies us in the development of a project in favour of professional integration and equal opportunities.
