【Vicky's Travel】The Beishan Road

After lunch, we walked along Lingyin Road towards Beishan Road. There're numerous sightseers, and the sun is also particularly genial. The scene reminds me of a poem written by a famous poet named Lin Sheng:

The soft and drowsy breeze the wandering throng enchants.
Hangzhou, the new-found home, their old Bianzhou supplants.

The willow and peach trees on the Su Causeway and Bai Causeway have all drawn out new buds, and some impatient peach blossoms have sportily opened many white, pink or peach-red flowers, which are especially beautiful.

（午饭后，我们沿着灵隐路向北山路行走。游人熙熙攘攘，阳光也特别和煦，有种“暖风熏得游人醉”的感觉。苏堤和白堤上的柳树、桃树均已抽出了新芽，有些心急的桃花零星地打开了几多白色、粉色抑或是桃红色的花朵，煞是好看。）

Beishan road is really a good place for a walk. There’s marvelous landscape of lotus when it comes to summer. As the well-known poet Wanli Yang said "The emerald lotus leaves reach as far as where water and skies meet, and lotus blossoms bathing in sunshine exhibit a distinctive dazzling pink”, which describe the wonderful scenery accurately.

The golden phoenix tree as well as the peach blossom are separately the main role in Autumn and Spring. There's few flowers in winter, and the Plum Blossom is absolutely the leading role.

（北山路，着实是个散步的好地方。夏天有“接天莲叶无穷碧”的映日荷花，秋天“秋雨梧桐叶落时”的金色梧桐，冬天亦有“白雪却嫌春色晚”皑皑雪景，到了春季则可以遥望对岸“小桃灼灼柳鬖鬖”杨柳桃花。）

Different from the lively Nanshan Road (the bar street), the style of Beishan Road is relatively quiet. Generally speaking, girls would not walk alone on Beishan Road after 10 o'clock.

（不同于热闹洋气的南山路（酒吧一条街），北山路的格调相对安静很多，一般我们女生在十点以后不会独自走在北山路上。）

There are many famous scenic spots on Beishan Road, most of which are hundreds or even thousands of years old. There are Past reside of JiangShi, Qiushui Villa, Xinxin Restaurant, Jingyi Villa, Broken Bridge, Breeze-ruffled Lotus at Quyuan Garden, Yue Temple and so on.

Beishan Road, as the most humanistic road by the West Lake, can be said that every building and every scene is telling their past lives.

（北山路上有很多著名景点，大多有上百年甚至上千年的历史。这里有蒋经国故居、秋水山庄、新新饭店、静逸别墅，也有断桥、曲院风荷、岳庙、宝石山等等。北山路作为西湖边最富有人文情怀的一条路，可以说每一幢楼每一处景都在诉说他们的前世今生。）

Among them, I'm fond of the Gu Mountain the most.

（这其中，我最喜欢的还是孤山。）
