Placement of avocado seedlings in plastic bags after germination.
Hi, friends steemians, once again, I thank you for visiting my blog. In this opportunity, I will place my avocado seedlings in plastic bags, these plants I managed to obtain them through an interesting process of germination.
Results: Seeds placed in disposable cups with water, germinated better than those made directly in plastic bags with soil. But looking to further improve this method, two months ago I came up with a new idea, which was to place the glass with the seed inside a plastic bag filled with air, the air is supplied to the bag by blowing with the mouth and sealing. The following was to observe the behavior of the seed in this environment with water, compressed air and light. But at the same time, I placed another glass with seed in the open air to compare both germinations.
Results of the test: the truth is that I was surprised to see after 20 days, that the seed placed in the bag with compressed air had germinated, you could see a small stem, while the cup with the seed in the open air only had Roots small but without stems. What I could verify is that the seed placed in an environment with compressed air germinates quickly.
In the following picture I present 3 glasses A, B and C, where the seedlings A and B, germinated in a bag with compressed air, while the C seedlings germinated in the open air, we can see that the plants A and B they are more developed because they germinated first than the C plant.
Transplant the seedlings after germinating in disposable cups
After the seeds germinate, in this case in the disposable cups, we hope that the stems reach a height of between 10 and 12 cm and, in addition, that they have at least 3 leaves, then we place these seedlings in plastic bags with a good substrate, you can also take advantage of the plastic bags of rice, sugar, etc. So we reuse these materials instead of throwing them away.
The seedlings are placed in bags with soil mixed with compost, this step is for the seedlings to grow and develop strong and healthy under our care until they reach a height of 40 cm and with 6 to 7 leaves, which would be the ideal time to The second change of environment, which consists of transplanting them directly on the ground.
Placement of the seedlings in plastic bags:
We put dirt in the bag, in this case I am using earth mixed with previously cured livestock manure, then we wet the soil and place the seedling, add more soil to cover the foot of the stem and water again. The next thing would be to take the plants to a place with sun and shade, and after 5 days they go to a place with enough sunlight.
