Ford Mustang is everywhere in Malaysia
Ford Mustang - The most iconic American Muscle ever known to mankind. It is not a stranger to all the car guys out there. This iconic vehicle is popular due to it's strong and loud roaring engine known as the V engine, most popular with V8's. Except for the latest variant that comes with a turbocharged V6 (and also a fake chip inside the car to make the engine roaring sound which is disappointing). Well the V6 variant is already more than RM300k, 2.3L V6 Turbocharged, whereas the V8 variant comes with a 5.0L engine, the "original" and real American Muscle.
This was spotted at Midvalley. At first Mustangs were not available in Malaysia, those that you have seen it here are mostly older models and also Left Hand Drive like the picture below.
Now this one is a rare beast. The owner is ballsy enough to park it illegally, this was located at Jaya One, that place is quite strict as most of the cars there are parked illegally causing the guards need to clamp them often. I'm pretty sure this was imported from overseas as it is Left Hand Drive. I wonder how do they see oncoming traffic especially when they want to overtake from the right...
This one was around Seksyen 17 near my friend's house, so I visit there frequently but I only saw this beast once in my life. At first I thought it was just another Mustang, because the Right Hand Drive variant is available and for sale in South East Asia as well without importing yourself overseas. But once I got closer...
Damn... 5.0 Litre engine, pretty sure the owner won't put a fake 5.0 emblem and the rims right? The 2.3 doesn't look like this, so the best way to check is to see the roadtax. Yes indeed it is a 5.0 Mustang, with about RM11000++ a year of road tax, That's about RM900 per month just for the tax, even more than my car's monthly loan. Well even though Mustang is everywhere, I will still be happy if I have the chance to own one...
