Christmas Time is Here.
The Month of December.
Various people, have different indicators to when the 'Christmas Period', or I should say the build up to Christmas begins, me personally is the 1st of December and the arrival of advent calendars, whereas my wife believes the start of the build up to Christmas begins with the Coca Cola Truck advertisement.
Simply, it is each to their own. We went out and bought a real Christmas tree yesterday, although more expensive in the long-run than the artificial ones I again, think that Christmas is all about traditions and I much prefer the smell of fresh pine needles in the morning to remind me of the festive season.
And on the Social Media front, I only begin promoting 'Christmassy' posts from the 1st of December (Whereas when it comes to promoting Christmas Sales, this is the beginning of October.) Quite a contrast as the commercial side of Christmas really does begin a couple of months earlier and this is reflected in the fact that the majority of people purchasing for Christmas have done their shopping before the month of December, in fact the figures are 51% with only 49% waiting to the final month.
Personally, I think that Christmas, is over commercialised but this is the way of the world and when it comes to marketing you have to go with the trends or be left behind.
I will hold off for now on wishing any festive greetings but simply say thank you for reading.
