Review : Genius Season 2 Episode 10

in #steempress6 years ago (edited)

We have terminated Genius's second season adventure. This season, when Banderas's tremendous performance failed to impress Picasso's life as a screenwriter, was full of disappointment. I have often come to the point that the future of the index may have fallen into danger. I often worry about systematic distress in the portraits of female characters, especially before next season when the main character is a woman. In this article I make my most recent comments about the tenth episode as well as the whole season and say goodbye to the second season.

First of all I owe you an apology: I thought I was a little closer to the season finale because Imdb had 11 episodes until last time. However, the series consisted of ten episodes as it was last season. Of course this is not the only source of my mistake, Imdb, but there were many points that the index had to gather. Haydi, let's try to find an answer to the question whether the series can do it together.

Obviously at the beginning of the episode I was so focused on François that I would still have 11 part in total, I am having a hard time understanding why Françoise is in this driver's seat. Of course the influence of François Gilot's "Living with Picasso" book is one of the most sought-after works of art, but this book is not enough to explain why the directory has not gotten the distances it needs to get by way of a history sequence.

I emphasized that Picasso had a terrible domination over his second wife, Jacqueline. But at the beginning of the section is grumpy, so an unbearable portrayal of women is drawn. Picasso is shaped like a learned figure to manage this grudge. Jacqueline and the audience are being torn from the beginning, even if it turns towards this image in the next few minutes.

I realized that the fraudulent part of the story's flaws came from the abstention of how to transfer Picasso. The producers of the series are struggling to match the conventions about Picasso with each other and their behavior. Einstein's work "irresponsible in his private life, but he was a very big person" can not be adapted to Picasso because the producers and screenwriters have not been able to get away from the idea that any violent practitioner is automatically a monster.

Therefore, the details of the confrontation in the memoirs are loaded on all other women outside of Françoise. However, sexual, physical, or psychological violence practitioners are not monsters, but people we all love, understand, and have relationships with. Picasso has already benefited from the advantages of this identity, not as a monster, not as a privileged man, not because of the dominance he has established on women, but as an individual who has not put a critical perspective on this identity. It is possible to reflect Picasso in a historical context in a manner appropriate to the concept of the episode, without justifying the behavior of the women in her life, without covering up her domination.

Moreover, such a narrative preferred not only to the women outside of François who had entered his life but also to Picasso himself to be subject to less negative judgment. From this point of view, I think that I have always been loaded from a feminist window throughout the season. If we did not look at the behavior of the series Picasso from such a negative window, the burden would not be placed on women's shoulders to explain the details of the negative judgment about not being afraid that the transfer of the memories would be understood as an attack on him. In such a case, this broad narrative will not emerge as we have disappeared among the details of our minds.

In spite of all these things, I am able to make the "I have seen a good final" climax with heartfelt warmth. It was a confrontation with a surprising, emotion-filled final and a praise for what Picaso deserves. It is even possible to say that it is beyond Picasso, that we all have a finger at a point where we can find an individual piece of our own experience. I could not cover up the series mistakes or get close to the performance of the first season but I think that at the end, he laughed himself as a biography series. Of course Genius was also instrumental in learning that part of the audience did not know about Picasso on this second journey.
