How You See Yourself
Our happiness in life depends a great deal on our attitudes. Our attitude toward ourselves may be the most important attitude of all because it has such a great effect on our life.
This attitude toward ourselves is called self-image and it is the way how we see ourselves. Our self-image is important because it affects our attitude toward our family, to our friends and others. People who have a poor self-image normally have trouble getting along with other people. And in most cases, they feel dejected.

Those who study and understand human behavior tell us that we are controlled by the way we inwardly see ourselves. To put it another way, you are going to act out the way you think about yourself. Do you think it really matters what you think about yourself? Yes, absolutely! If you think you are a failure, you will act like you are a failure, and you feel like a failure. To put it in another way, your self-image is how you see yourself.
You, yourself create your own definition of who you are. The more you value your life and your own unique qualities, the more you feel good about yourself.
Whether an idea is false or not, if we believe it, we will be controlled by it.

I strongly agree on this one. It is how we view ourselves inwardly that affects how we act and behave. People don't even realize that they are their biggest bully. I used to be there. It hurts when you realized you have been causing the pain and not others, not your situation.
This is a gentle reminder to love ourselves. Great write up @viverridae !
