I had to comment as last week we were at a Vietnamese restaurant and my son, upon tasting cucumber water, pronounced it should be illegal. I wonder if he'd change his mind if it was vodka instead!

Vodka changes everything. Cucumber water seems like it would me pretty innocuous, though. I went to a Vietnamese restaurant in Oakland that had a jar of snakes preserved in alcohol on the bar. They would fill a shot glass with it from a tap at the bottom of the jar. All the liquid at the top was clear, but it came out the bottom brown like whiskey. We bought a shot for the birthday boy. Now I regret not trying it myself.

Lol, that does sound quite nice actually but then, so did the fireball whiskey!!
Fireball whiskey wasn't as bad as Southern Comfort, but it was unpleasant all the same.

This actually does sound good. I’ve had pepper vodka that may of been the worst liquor I’ve tried. Think of hot peppers and rubbing alcohol. Yum...
