# 128 - Millennium Quarters - Part 1
To celebrate the new millennium, Canada created a two-year circulating/commemorative program. Each program released twelve quarters per year (one per month) and each featured a unique design.
The 1999 plan featured designs representative of Canada's past. The 2000 plan featured designs representative of Canada's dreams for a new millennium.
Each coin weights 5.83g with silver purity of 92.5% and Proof finish.
The first is "A Country Unfolds". The four images form the year 1999.
The second is "Etched in Stone". Its design features native petroglyphs that capture the historical heritage and spirituality of Canada.
The third is "The Log Drive". It is a historical reference of Canadian raftsmen and the significant contribution they made to the growth and prosperity of Canada.

The RCM is prolific in coming up with so many designs and coin series! There is always something for a coin collector. Can you tell me more about the native petroglyphs and how it represents the spirituality of Canada?
I don't know. It was written on the definition of the coin. Sorry. The design was a popular one , that should show the spirituality of Canada, according to the law that created the series.
