Continuing the Modern Commemoratives Dollar series, we will present you today the 2002-W "West Point" graded by PCGS PR70 DCAM.
All coins of this series weight 26.73g with 90% silver purity. They were issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
They will be presented in the order they were minted.
This coin was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States Military Academy.
The obverse of the coin features the Academy Color Guard in parade. The Cadet Chapel and Washington Hall are visible in the background of the scene.
The reverse of the coin features the West Point Bicentennial logo, consisting of a helmet and sword.
A total of 288,293 coins were minted in West Point. The issue price was U$37.00. The actual price is around U$135.00 in this grade.
