Fine Silver Christian Art from Mundane Junk
I bought this small railroad spike (or big fat nail) at a second hand store.
I thought it would make a neat model for sand casting some silver. I made two of them. This one I filed down the seam and polished it a little.
The second one I felt inspired to make into a religious themed item and it's the star of today's SteemIt post:
Here's a short video... for a look at it... moving:
What does it all mean? Well Christians believe Christ died for their sins. These nails symbolize the ones used to crucify him. But "In His Hands" also means we are in his hands... our troubles, our worries, our hopes. Nothing is too great for Him.
Faith is a beautiful thing. I'll pray each one of you can find yours if you've lost it.
Thanks for stopping by Steemians. Nothin' but love for you all!
It looks like that's an old railroad spike and that would hurt going through your hands. It's a vivid reminder of the pain and suffering that Jesus went through. That's powerful, man!
Beautiful done ✌️👏👍
It is an interesting idea to mix silver pouring with religion. They have much in common because of their cleansing properties (silver for the physical and religion for the spiritual).
