Fake Shanghai Ingots ....www.shiptreasures.com

I have posted a couple Hong Kong Shanghai Specie Office silver ingots here on Steemit. I do collect them exclusively. A recent discovery of a website has pushed me to expose an issue.

There is a company out in the western Pacific who is claiming to be be recovering treasure at the bottom of the ocean. They say the items are coming out of old Chinese ships. I have looked through the inventory on the site. To me, they all look hand crafted in a garage. Many red flags!!

I emailed the owner...They could not tell me the "ship" these items were recovered from. When they were recovered. How they were recovered. The history behind the bar's or where they came from. It was pretty pathetic. The photos below are of the fake Shanghai ingots they are attempting to sell.

☝️The fake ingot shown above. They are not side stamped. Font is off. Mold is off. Demensions are off. They were also produced in the 1970s in the US. Which is the best part about all of this. They are NOT ancient ingots that would be found on sunken ships.

☝️An authentic example for comparison purposes.

They recently attempted to run a couple auctions on eBay. Which seem to have failed. Please be aware of companies and sellers like this.
