Recent Coin Shop Find...
Since everyday is a treasure hunt for some of us. It's always satisfying to find something worth while. Unfortunately, I live in a small state. I do not have the resources some people have. It is pretty common for me to come up empty handed. It doesn't help that I am getting more picky as time goes on.
Last week I found a nice group of Amark USVI 1oz silver ingots. They have been seen in several different varities. Production dates to 1980 and 1981. Each 1oz ingot has a designated lot number. These ingots have become pretty popular over the past year.
☝️A full photo of the 29 USVI ingots discovered at my LCS last week. Followed up close ups to show the detail. These ingots are commonly referred to Amark "Stackers". On the side that says Amark. You can see the raised edge around the outside. Making them very convenient to stack!

The USVI ingots have been seen in the 10oz and 100oz weight classes. These are a buy at $20 each and under. Some of the recent sales show $27-50 each depending on the variety. Some are obviously more common than others.

Wow, that is one heck of a haul from the LCS! I have never seen or heard about these before, but I do like the looks of the raised edges around the bar. Nice pickup @silveringots!

Great score buddy. We have nothing like this available here in the UK. If I'm lucky I may come across an over priced, commemorative (royal wedding), 1 OZer.
Plus its always been left to them by there dead mother/father that said it was worth a lot and its only worth spot, so they try and put a sentimental premium on it..... buying silver sucks over here in Wales (its Welshstacker by the way)
