@dwingsworld, you and I have the same ideals, I think. I cannot understand how people can blatantly just do hurtful things. I personally suffer interiorly and in spirit when I see hurtful things being done to others, and I suffer tremendously when it is directed towards me. See.... you must be a brother to me now that I don't have family. I just so easily share feelings with you. Sorry....

I think Pope John Paul II had visited Vancouver way back in 1984 ish but I don't remember being about a year old then.

You are correct, @themanwithnoname. I think that in general, commemorative pieces are price a bit higher than regular silver rounds, also because this medallion has a proof finish. It was tricky taking the photos because it is super shiny! Thanks, my friend.

Yes, I've visited St. John Paul II while he was Pope at the Vatican twice, and saw him when he came to California. I still have the umbrella I used during that day!
