This is a post that we should be wrote 4-5 weeks ago but we have been living on hope that price of STEEM would recover but with the bloodbath over the past few days, our hopes are gone and we need to make this clear. We are not going into numbers tonight as it is late but with STEEM down at almost $1, things are not great.

The 4 contributors do not for 1 second think that any of the members of #steemsilvergold are not seeing this when they are receiving there daily upvotes from Precious. We are now at the point that Precious will not be profitable for members that pay in liquid STEEM if the price of STEEM were to remain as it is today. Members that delegate have much less to worry about and Precious to my knowledge stills pays out well compared to other services.

What we need to remember

Precious is a non-profit community bot set up for #steemsilvergold members. We are all in the same boat and if we stick together as we always do, we will get home dry. We could say it is a bump in the road turning into a huge wall covered in bard wire but we will adopt and come out smelling likes roses. All we have to do is figure out the best way to move forward and go from there. All important changes in policy will be done by community vote. With STEEM down so much and it looking like its gonna stay low for a while, it might be time for us to change our game up and switch gears.

Reality check

Precious is powered by lots of leased STEEM POWER and we pay for leases with STEEM got from monthly donations. As more members move over to delegating (better long term), we will collect less STEEM donations and possibly need to drop a big lease. This is the nature of the beast and this is why we will need to adopt. We have only ever had a community bot during the good times when crypto have been doing well and now that crypto's are doing, well, not well, the game has changed.

More of the head ups folks just to let you folks no that we are aware that this is happening and the ROI is decreasing. We are working trying to figure out ways to make everything more even across the board but we keep hitting brick walls and dead ends.
