Oooooomph!!! Kicked in the balls again! And i’m not just talking about bitcoin dropping under 4k earlier... But also, for forgetting to cover the alpha-numeric version of the Private Key on a loaded bitcoin bill! What an idjit!!! I am amused at myself though, ‘cause when i started fooling around with bitcoin i would almost always manually enter keys... but in the last few years i have grown so accustomed to copy/pasting and/or just scanning qr codes, that that little detail escaped my realization when i posted. Oh well! What are ya’ gonna’ do?

I’ll tell ya what i’m gonna’ do... i’m gonna’ chalk it up to another lesson learned and get on with this post, which, i am happy to say, is a double unboxing of sorts! You see, i won a gorgeous prize from @goldrooster in the MR2 back in August, but the prize still hadn’t arrived by Halloween... @goldrooster said he would re-send the prize, and resend he did! Anyway, maybe it was the Postal Strike, or maybe it was the overworked sled-dogs, but whatever it was, it ALL landed yesterday!

Both the original parcel which had two coins in it, and then two more parcels — which each contained one coin. So what was in the packages?

And indeed, true to his word, and his good reputation, @goldrooster sent 4 altogether! The two he initially sent (which we both thought were lost) and then two more so that he could be certain that i got my prize — and that my friends is how you do it!

The Eagles are beautiful @goldrooster! Thank you! I will cherish them. But now check this shit out... i alerted @goldrooster to the fact that i now had all 4 of them and that I would be happy to figure out something to balance the double send. Well, after reading about my bitcoin bill fiasco yesterday, @goldrooster just said that i could keep all four!

No friggin’ way!!! What a Boss man! Thank you again! Holy smokes peeps, this is one of the things i love about the stacking community — people are generous with each other and subscribe to the “pay it forward” philosophy. So, i am thrilled with my new Eagles! Each one is pristine and a very fine example of the expertise of The Perth Mint.

Who, despite suffering repetitive kicks to the balls as well, so to speak, is still cracking jokes, cracking beers, and cracking up his pals!
