Silver of the Day #20

Here's to hoping that all of you had a safe and fun Independence Day if you chose to celebrate. If you didn't, hopefully it was still a nice Wednesday!

For today's Silver of the Day, I wanted to show you something that I've shown you before, but it's a little different.

A while ago, I showed you pictures of a Stagecoach bar. Well, I found out by chance that they made a Stagecoach Round as well!

And the reverse still can be broken apart into pieces if you need to give someone a smaller amount.

I haven't tried breaking either the bar or the round, so no word on which is easier to divide. If I had to guess, I'd say the bar, but I'm not planning an experiment any time soon.

howdy there @themanwithnoname! I love this Western design coin! very cool. I didn't know that they made rounds that broke into pieces, I thought that was just bars, but why not? to me it's very unusual, I'd buy it because of the stagecoach but the back side is an added novelty.

I didn't know they made this piece in round format. It was a nice surprise. Like you, the stagecoach design jumped out at me and the fact that it could be divided was an added bonus. I still would have gotten it without the divisible factor, but it just makes the acquisition that much sweeter.

howdy back Blondie yes I agree, it's a cool piece.

Not going to kick it out of the safe. :)

Imagine if those 4 pieces could be split further xD

I sold some days ago my only coin it was a "lobo 1994 coin" sold it for 20 bucks but i think i could have made a better deal tbh, i think i could have sold it for 50 bucks or more... next time i'm selling on ebay instead of selling to a old guy at a shop

I've thought about it! Why stop at four pieces. Let's go for a "pieces of eight"! Maybe it would affect the structural integrity of the round/bar too much. I think it'd be a good idea though. Want to start that with me? :)

Awww, that's too bad on the price! And too bad to see it go. I figure if they're older rounds/coins/bars that I'll just hang onto them unless someone wants to give me a great deal. Then I can take that money and go get more silver that might be worth more.

What made you want to sell the coin?

I don't like coins that much... i would rather have the money invested into crypto or stock then having a coins in an hold drawrer just rotting away

Fair enough. Everyone has their own investment strategy, even if that strategy is to invest in "on demand" movies. That's probably not a wise investment, but to each their own. Your stock and crypto idea sounds more sound (ha ha) than the on-demand movies. I hope you make a lot of money!

That's just a silly example I came up with. It's not investment advice.

What a wonderful surprise! I had never seen a round that was divisable...

It was the first round I had seen that was divisible as well! I was pleasantly surprised that there was a round to go along with the bar I had just gotten.
