A great bank holiday Monday (UK). Some silver and other random goings-on.
I love to post about silver and precious metals but it's been very quiet in the welshstacker household lately for buying the shiny stuff. So I went to the safe and picked out 3 kookaburra I thought I'd share with you as well as a few snaps from the bankholiday weekend.
Only because they were the 3 sitting near the top, I picked out the 2000, 2009 & 2015 kooks. I love the Perth mint designs, they have some amazing series of silver coins out at the moment. So I hope #teamaustrailia like my coins? Ohh yeah... and I just had to get in my @raybrockman bar again. That bar is a monster, coming in at 12.5 oz!!! It has very quickly become one of, if not THE favourite piece of silver in my small collection.
Only 300,000 of the 2000 Australian Kookaburra were minted
Once again only 300,000 of these were ever minted.
The 2015 design is a re-issue of the original design from the first coin back in 1990. It has a total mintage of 500,000 and is the 25yr anniversary edition.
Now I know you're all thinking, WOW!!! Only 300,000 minted for the 2000 & 2009 kooks, but what if I told you there were only 2 @raybrockman bars made??? Talk about your limited mintage 😂😂😂
Well like I said, it's been a good bankholiday weekend here in Wales and for the first time in a very long time the sun actually decided to make an appearance!! So we made the most of it and did the usual things... Pool, bbq, party & beers.

Mrs @welshstacker has her exams tomorrow, so the party didn't really take off. She's finishing off her masters degree because she's the one with the important job and is the bread winner 😀

About the Perth Mint, I like the Kookaburras but I am totaly into the Koalas, I don't know why...I have all coins of this series and I will start showing them next Wednesday.

The silver is looking good! The sun has been out for a couple of days and now that we have part of our garden planted, we cannot get a drop of rain for nothin' :)
