Indian captain Virat Kohli completed his superb 22nd century in the third session in the second day of the first Test against England at Edgbaston.This is Kohli's 15th century as captain. India were 274 runs at the end of the day.Kohli was out in 149 runs. Kohli scored 149 runs in 225 balls, including 22 fours.

With this, Kohli broke the 28-year-old record of Mohammed Azharuddin. In England's earth ,he was the first captain to score 121 runs in the first innings.. Azhar scored this century in 1990 at Lord's. However, India had to face defeat by 247 runs in the test.
