We are back with another edition of NBA Fantasy Tonight! This is one of the last few preseason editions and it is still key to figure out who is playing heavy minutes and who is not. There are two games to choose your player from tonight and some big names are on the board. But if you are going to use the big dogs, then you need to suplament your team with a cheap player or two. Let's get started with a low priced point guard.
F VanVleet PG 4500. Fred VanVleet is the point guard of the Toronto Raptors and if you have not heard of him, you will soon. He played his ball at Wichita State and had a dynamite college career but was undrafted. He turned down a million dollar contract overseas and decided to fight for his dream in the NBA and put his work in on the G-League. It would pay off as he got a 10 day contract with Raptors two years ago and has never looked back. He will play starter minutes tonight and put up some great numbers at this price.
K Leonard SG 7300. Kawhi Leonard is in a new city and on a new team. He had a ton of success in San Antonio including an NBA Finals MVP but he was moved out of town after being upset last season and now he is one of the favorites to take his team to the NBA Finals in the East. Tonight he should get some more good work and reps in and stuff the stat sheet in the first half.
A Davis C 8400. Anthony Davis sat out last night and should be ready to play tonight. He was not injured as it was just a night of rest as the Pelicans are preparing for the start of the regular season which is next week. Tonight Davis should clear a double-double in the first half and get a block or two. The use of Fred VanVleet and his low salary allows the AD play.
