MLB Fantasy 6/7

Welcome back to another edition of MLB Fantasy Tonight! There is a limited slate of night games today as Thursday's are typically a travel day and about half of the league is off. There are still a ton of quality players to pick from so let's get started with the pitcher.

M Leake P 7600. Mike Leake is having an above average year so far for the Mariners. He is 5-3 with an ERA of 4.71. But his WHIP of 1.29 is very good for an American League pitcher. I really like his match-up today against the Tampa Bay Rays offense that is only 25th in the league in Runs and 27th in home runs. They may get several hits off of Leake but won't be able to translate those into runs.

M Cabrera C/1B 3500. Another solid year for Miguel Cabrera is happening in Detroit for the Tigers first baseman. He is hitting .314 and has an on base % of .397. His power numbers are down and Cabrera only has 3 home runs, but he loves hitting in Fenway Park and will be launching some line drives at the green monster tonight. He should have some good cuts against the Red Sox pitcher, Jalen Beeks, who is making his season debut and will be battling his nerves.

D Gordon 2B 3300. Dee Gordon has tremendous value at this price today. He is one of the best guys in the MLB at stealing bases and he already has 19 so far this year. He is batting .292 and is a threat to stretch every single or walk into an extra base at bat. Ryne Stanek, the starting pitcher for the Rays today, is not good at keeping runners at first base, so I expect Gordon to have the green light every time he reaches base.

J Martinez OF 4800. J.D. Martinez is having a career year so far in his first go around with the Boston Red Sox after signing with them in the off season. He is batting .317 and has 20 home runs. He is on pace for career highs in several offensive categories and is really hitting well at home. He should have some good looks against Tigers starter Matthew Boyd and will have a big night in front of the Red Sox faithful.
