The Dodgers host the Giants in the MLB

The Los Angeles Dodgers and their bitter rival, the San Francisco Giants, will continue their battle tonight when they face off in Monday night baseball. First pitch is scheduled for 9:10pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on the Direct TV MLB Extra Innings Package. It will take place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The Dodgers are heavy favorites at -200 and the over/under is 7 runs.
The Giants enter tonight’s game sitting 6 games back in the National League West. They are 59-60 on the year but are still alive in the Division race. Unfortunately, they sit behind the Rockies, Dodgers and Diamondbacks.
Tonight they will give the ball to one of their best pitcher, Madison Bumgarner. He has put up good stats in his starts this year but has gotten little run support and only has 4 wins. But his ERA is 2.69 and his WHIP is 1.25.
The Dodgers will counter with their ace, Clayton Kershaw. He also has pitched well this year but too is just .500 on the season. Kershaw has an ERA of 2.58 and a WHIP of 1.07, which is one of the best in the NL. He has gotten no run support and if the Dodgers want to be serious about making a deep run this year, their bats need to wake up. The days of giving Kershaw only one run must end tonight.
Both teams are just 4-6 in their last 10 games and are desperate for a win. This series is crucial as they both chase the Rockies and Diamondbacks.

Dodgers going in the wrong direction at the moment, having lost 4 straight, but are still right there, just a game back. Looks like its going to be a battle to the finish between LA, Arizona, and Colorado. The NL West is really heating up
