The Giants host the Diamondbacks in NL West action

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Francisco Giants will face off tonight in MLB action as both teams fight for position in the National League West. First pitch is scheduled for 9:15pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on the MLB Extra Innings package. The Giants are favored at -139 and the over/under is 6.5 runs.

The San Francisco Giants are sitting at 30-30 so far on the year and find themselves in 3rd place in their division. But they can pull within a half game of the 1st place Diamondbacks with a win tonight. They have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games.

They will give the ball to pitcher Madison Bumgarner tonight. He has been one of their aces over the last several years but tonight will be his first start of the 2018 season. Bumgarner has a career ERA of 3.01 and has 104 wins vs only 76 losses.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are sitting in 1st place at 31-28 in the division but have multiple teams hot on their trail, including the Giants. They got off to an extremely hot start to the season but then had a brutal stretch of going 3-14. They are back on the winning side of baseball of late and have won 7 of 10 games.

Patrick Corbin will head to the mound for Arizona to try and continue their strong play. Corbin is off to a fantastic start to the year and is 5-2 so far with an ERA of 2.99.

Hitting has been extremely inconsistent though for the Diamondbacks and they will want to try and get after Bumgarner early and often in his first start of the year.

The over/under is the lowest on the board tonight so the pros in Las Vegas expect a pitchers duel. Enjoy the action.
