There might have been a time in your life where everything that you wished for happened, we all get to see that one way or the other. Pakistani team is going through this period of time where everything seems to be going in their way in the shortest format of the game. Now that's is not because of luck, it is a combined effect of both luck and effort, I would say luck has very little place in this case. They have won 10 consecutive series in the shortest format of the and are looking to win their 11th against New Zealand. However this is not going to be easy for them as New Zealand are a very good side when it comes to the shorter formats of the game. They showed character in the first match which they lost but it was the closest, any team has reached against Pakistan in the recent past.

Pakistan are looking very good at the moment and every player is delivering the goods. Babar Azam has been prolific run scorer at the top of the order and his consistency with the bat has been crucial for Pakistan as he has been able to provide very good starts at a decent enough pace. Hafeez has shown that he has still got some cricket left in him and has been handy with both bat and ball. The veteran Shoaib Malik is growing younger in age as he been performing consistently with the bat apart from taking some brilliant catches in the outfield.
On the other hand the bowlers have been at their best as they have never let any opposition cross 150 run mark in the recent past. Coming back after a long break, Imad Wasim has shown that he belongs after being out of the game for more than 6 months. He has that ability to pick up wickets early in the innings and that's what he has done after coming back. Shadab Khan is ranked number 2 in the shortest format of the game and he has proved his mantle time and again. The you pace sensation Shaheen Afridi has been excellent along with Hasan Ali. Pakistani bowlers have been able to keep their opposition quite during the middle overs with their tight line and length.
The only concern for Pakistan right now is that their opener Fakhar Zaman is out of touch and his replacement Sahibzada Farhan hasn't been able to impress anyone. Known for his big hitting, he has scored at a strike rate of less than a 100, that is because he is not able to rotate the strike. This is almost obvious that Fakhar Zaman will be back for today's match against New Zealand.

Some of their key players are missing from the squad and the notable absentees are Martin Guptil and Trent Bolt. Their absence will be definitely felt by the visitors but they still have a very talented squad. Colin Munro showed what he can do with the bat in the first match while a rare failure of captain Kane Williamson doesn't justify his true potential. Ross Taylor was very good in the first match and tried his best best to get New Zealand over the line. Glenn Phillips is a talented opening batsman capable of providing you with quick starts.
Adam Milne was excellent with the ball in the previous match and bowled he bowled at pace and troubled Pakistani batsmen. The new addition to the team Aizaz Patel also bowled very well and kept Pakistani batsmen on check. They have a good bowling unit but might be tempted to bring Lockie Ferguson who can trouble anyone with his pace but it remains to be seen that who will make way for him.
They might bring in Mark Chapman, an explosive batsman in the middle order in place of Tim Seifert which would mean that Glenn Phillips will keep the wickets but it looks less likely at the moment.
