The turn of the Beet:

Beet juice helps us maintain physical performance better than any energy drink. Did you also know that its leaves contain more iron than spinach?

Beets are one of the most striking vegetables, given their color. In recent years, it has increased its consumption in the form of beverages, in combination with various fruits. Something that is very positive, given that, previously, its gastronomic use was limited to the salads section above all.

One of the varieties of beet is even used as a source for the production of sugar because of its high sucrose content. However, beyond being a source of natural sugar, this vegetable is a very nutritious food, since it is rich in potassium, vitamin C, potassium and folate. In addition, beets are rich in water and, therefore, in fibers.

  1. Beets are a source of fiber
  2. Allies against high blood pressure
  3. Provide energy
  4. Allies against inflammation
  5. Help detoxify the body
  6. They have anti-cancer properties

The green leaves of the beet represent a very important and nutrient-rich part of this vegetable. These contain proteins, phosphorus, zinc, fiber, vitamin B6, A, C, magnesium, potassium, copper, and manganese, as well as calcium and iron. It should be noted that the leaves of this plant contain more iron than spinach. Among the benefits of regular consumption we find the following:

Beet leaves may prevent osteoporosis by increasing bone strength.
They stimulate the production of antibodies and white blood cells, therefore, strengthens the immune system.
They prevent and fight Alzheimer's disease.
The leaves of the beet can be taken in shakes, juices or in salads. They can also be used in various preparations with vegetables. Remember that the key is to know how to incorporate them in a pleasant way in our diet, to normalize their consumption and be able to benefit from it. As simple as that!

The turn of the Carrot:

The carrot is the second most popular vegetable, after the potato. This vegetable comes in all shapes and colors, since more than 100 species of carrots are known. And, thank goodness, because this vegetable so attractive provides many nutrients and has many health benefits.

1 Improves the view

The carrot is very rich in carotene, a chemical compound that the liver transforms into vitamin A. And this nutrient is essential for the production of rhodopsin, which is an indispensable pigment for night vision. In addition, the consumption of carotene prevents macular degeneration and cataracts.

2 Prevents cancer

Carrots also have falcarinol. This is a natural pesticide that produces the carrot itself to protect against fungal diseases. And recent studies have shown that mice that ate carrots regularly had a third less chance of getting cancer. Falcarinol is particularly effective in reducing the risks of lung, breast and colon cancer.

3 Delays aging

The carrot carotene acts as a powerful antioxidant, which attenuates the damage that the metabolism causes to our cells. Therefore, it delays its aging. Also, this component protects the skin from the sun. This means that it avoids skin dryness and prevents the appearance of premature wrinkles, spots and acne.

4 Cleans the body

Vitamin A is a great ally of the liver to expel toxins from the body and the colon. On the other hand, the carrot fibers promote intestinal movement and the consequent elimination of cellular waste. Also, the carrot helps to rid the mouth of bacteria. In this sense, it prevents dental damage and removes the accumulation of food or dental plaque - all thanks to its crunchy texture.

These are the main nutrients and benefits of carrots. So let's imitate the wise rabbits and integrate this vegetable into our diet. At the end of the day, we will be gaining both health and taste.

And last but not least the turn of the Pumalaca:

Source

Syzygium malaccense, commonly known as water apple, Malay apple, Rose apple, Cajuilito Soliman, pomagás, pomagá, Japanese cashew, pomalaca or cashew nut, is a species of tree belonging to the Myrtaceae family.

The pomalaca, also known as the "pink apple", is a fruit that although in appearance it reminds us of an apple, in properties and characteristics it differs from the pomegranate. Belonging to the myrtle family, it has a sweet and fresh flavor although, in some cases, it can be tasteless and dry.

Originally from Malaysia, it is also present in Central American countries such as Costa Rica and El Salvador and in South America such as Venezuela and Colombia. The fruit is similar to an apple, of small size and a dark red color, although some varieties have a white or pink skin. The pulp is white with a large seed.

The pomalaca stands out for its high pectin content, considered by many specialists as a type of fiber. It also has vitamins (A, B3 and C), minerals (calcium and iron) and beta carotene. Each serving provides 25 calories, so its consumption is ideal for those who follow a balanced diet and low in fat. In addition, its leaves have a high content of iodine, a leading element in weight loss diets.

Once cut, now place the orange in the blender and make the juice, but only the orange.

When we pass the juice through a colander, we pour it back into the blender and begin adding all the other fruits one by one.

To add a slightly sweeter flavor, add a tablespoon of sugar.
