Understanding our mind: Why do we usually remember things that never happened?

One of the most frequent situations that we usually face in a number of scenarios is to have the impression that something did not exactly happen as someone else remembers, in fact, that situation sometimes extends and goes beyond, to a point where our memories of something are distorted in such a way that our subconscious tends to create wrong conclusions from what actually happened.

Thank, it's always great to receive the support of you guys.

What a great post about the inner workings of the brain and our memories. I think we often have differences in the way we remember events because our perception and the way we are personally affected by the event can influence the way we remember the occasion. I notice you are using the ADSactly tag. That's great. You should join our discord and submit your post for a chance to win our post of the day award. https://discord.gg/uKNutA

Yes, the perception of several events its one of the main cause of why our memory change.

Fantastic post! And a very important topic to discuss, especially with all the ramifications this has for criminal justice. It also shows that the whole "brain-as-computer" metaphor/analogy has some serious limitations.

Yes in criminal cases it's very interesting to see how all kinds of people say that they make crimes that never happens.
