I'm not sure why there were no North American competitors to the Canadian Nuclear Lab. I suspect that the Canadian Lab had a generous subsidy that allowed them to produce Mo-99 at low prices. That ended in April and now everyone is scrambling. It has a 66 hour half-life which could mean that a lot is lost while the package is clearing customs if it has to be shipped overseas.
Yeah, I know I had to have the shot, and they warned me that I needed to be there for the appointment on time due to the shelf life of the shot. I didn't glow or anything, but they said I should avoid people for the next 24 hours. That part kind of sucked, because people included pets, and I was gone a long time, fortunately when I got home I was tired, so up and off to bed, pups missed me not saying hello to them, but they made up for it the next day.
