Steem Torch - Keep The Flames Burning
I was honoured to receive "The Steem Torch" from a very dear friend @abigail-dantes (Abbey, as I fondly call her). Steem Torch is an initiative by @geekgirl to test the speed by which value can be passed on from one person to another on the Steem blockchain. The goal of the Torch is explained in this post.
I see this as a welcome initiative to further increase interaction within the Steem blockchain. The aim of this experiment; according to @geekgirl; is to reach 1337th Torch bearer, of which it will be used for the purpose explained in this original post.
The rules for the Torch bearers are very simple: Upon reception of the Torch (in Steem), you are required to pass it on to a next bearer (which should not be the same person that handed it over to you). You can add 1 more Steem (or even a lower amount) when you are transferring the Torch, but you are not meant to subtract from the amount you have received. Finally, you are meant to use the memo as indicated in this post https://steemit.com/steem/@geekgirl/steem-torch, but update the count number by 1 and pass it on. For example; I received from Abbey at count 180 and I transfered to the next bearer at count 181.
To take over the baton as the Steem Torch bearer is a dear friend (turned brother) that I have known for years and has been active in the Steem blockchain; @gentleshaid. Baba Shaid, the Torch is all yours.
