Robots are gunning for your generation you better get learning kid! Kids her age are already coding apps!
Want be a painter? Then go learn new techniques watching videos! Don't just scribble on a piece of paper! Learn some interesting new ways to use your tools! I'm sick of this "I'm only x age crap"! Kids in some countries, like China, most kids 9 or even younger are learning calculus, programming, reading at levels most kids around me never reach and can literally build a pair of shoes!
Look at the show Master Chef Jr! Kids 8-12 already can cook better than most people ever could dream of! Is it that they are sooo superior to all the adults around them? NO! It's that the parents don't put up with bullshit and make them learn real world skills from a young age! Learning became fun for them, not a chore as many of us believe it is! Stop letting your kid come home after school and "hang out man" ever day! Encourage learning to be fun and learn with them! You will see amazing things from your kid(s) if you do!
I am not a parent but i somehow agree on this. Ofcourse its good to let your child play, but there is plenty of room left for them to learn and grow. One thing though :p.... The Master chefs you talk about just happen to have found their passion on a early age. I remember i did Judo, painting, badminton, breakdance, skateboarding and none of it i became a master at. It's just as hard for a kid to find what he wants compared to a teenager that has to choose a profession he wants to do the rest of his life.
Agreed, I'm not saying NEVER have fun, but I see kids today not WANT to learn.. They don't view it as fun to play with legos or build new things anymore.. They just want to sit on a tablet and click click click tap tap tap and accomplish nothing! At least go hit a baseball or throw a football around or something!
Haha true dat :P. Same with teenagers to busy caring about what others think of them instead of thinking what they are capeable of themselves without the needs of any others person's opinion :P
