Hello everyone, hope everyone is fine. In some of my past posts I have talked about radiation from stellar objects. Now, as we know radiation from those stellar objects have to travel huge distance until they reach us. But the density of interstellar material is so less that it can almost travel until the earth's upper atmosphere almost without any huge distractions and travel almost in straight line. But when passing through the earth's atmosphere this radiation goes through some series of changes as earth atmosphere is nonhomogenous, nonstationary and has higher density. So, the question is--

How does the earth atmosphere effect the astronomical observations?
