“Yoo're a damn lucky cheil ta not be wi' them! They're walkin' inta th' lion's den tonight maties!" R. Me-up said sternly as she pushed herself away from the rail, “Some of them willnot be returnin'..."

Yrstikken looked down and and swallowed hard as the breeze picked up a bit and the main boom line slapped against the rail softly…

[On Comoros Island…]

Junior Petty Officer- Cooper Ickied led his men through the dark narrow jungle of the peninsula that separated the bay from the sea. It didn’t take long for them to cross to the eastern side as he crouched down and gave a wave for all of them to do the same. Finally, coming to the far side, he parted a palm leaf and gazed out over the Bay of Badjanani.
There, about three hundred yards out, lay the Grand Bank schooner. In the light of the moon Ickied counted four, maybe five men standing guard on her decks.

“Listen up men, from haur it's inta th' water an' across ta th' vessel! No splashin'! Quiet strokes…no overhain swimmin'. Keep yer daggers in yer teeth!" Ickied commanded as he slowly made his way down to the water’s edge.

The nine men all entered the water and broke into a slow swim. Like a flock of geese they formed a v-shape as Ickied led the way…

[Back on the Silverton…]

The Captain stoked his pipe and lit it slowly as he gazed out the starboard window of his private cabin. Cockpit Mate- Midshipman’s Mate Fisky sat across from him and folded his hands on the table.

“They shoulds have crossed inta th' bay by noo..." Fisky said as he contemplated the raid.
“Aye, noo doobt they’re weel on their way..." The Captain replied as he sat quietly.
“Do ye remember those days Sairrr, when it was us 'att was swimmin' wi' arr daggers in arr mooths, defyin' aw danger?!" Ickied asked out of contemplation.
“Aye, Ahh remembers' it weel mucker! An' Ahh bear th' scars of 'att ta thes day! HawHaw!" The Captain said with a melancholy smile.
“Have ye thooght whit ye will do if th' mission fails?"
“Fails?” The captain replied as he straightened in his chair, “If it fails...then it's aw gun doors open mucker! They'll be no Grand Bank schooner ta ever leave th' Bay of Badjanani!"

Fisky’s eyes opened wide. He had never thought it would go that far…

“Ye will sink 'er Sairrr?!"
“Ahh'll sink 'er faster t’an Callum can kiss his knarly arse good-bye!"
“But Keptin, whit if it is Commander Galligan an' Loon Tipper?!" Fisky asked with some anxiety.
“Justice is noot always bonnie mah friend..."
