What do Napoleon and Hitler have in common?
An interesting picture emerges if we compare the key dates of both campaigns to Russia.
Both commanders, as they say, attacked the same rake. Maybe I do not?
Specifically dates.
The invasion of Vienna by Napoleon's troops was in 1809. In 129 years, Hitler repeated the same thing. Anschluss in 1938.
Napoleon committed an attack on Russia in 1812, exactly after 129 years, Hitler repeated in 1941.
The listening phase is a campaign against Moscow, Napoleon in 1812 and retreat in 1813. Hitler marched on Moscow in 1941 and retreated in 1942. And again the difference is 129 years!
And the final loss in the war. Napoleon in 1816 and exactly 129 years after Hitler in 1945.
Coincidence? So many dates, or not?
One must think, one must think ...
