Feelings Close to God

Asy-Sheikh Abdullah Basa'id Al-Amudi Ra asked:

"How is the position of a person who presents the Divine presence in his prayer, but he is afraid that that feeling can damage his prayers and he can not be polite to Allah when that feeling comes?"

Al-'Allamah Al-Habib Abdullah bin Alawi Al-Haddad Ra replied:

"Know that if one is afraid that his prayer will be affected by his feelings when he presents the Divine presence, then he should present the Divine presence according to the ability of his heart, so that he is not burdened by something he can not bear.

Secondly, he should present his feelings that Allah is seeing him and that he should not feel that he is seeing Allah SWT.

It is intended that he survived all wrong thoughts about the Essence of Allah SWT, because he does not know God Almighty in the stage of the prime and plenary. "
