Harry Reams, the Elf

In a hole there lived a solid, beautiful elf named Harry Reams. Not a crowded sunny, backward hole, filled with sausages and a tender smell, nor yet an idyllic, hot, chilly hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was an elf-hole, and that means warmth.

One day, after a troubling visit from the pixie Howie Phucter, Harry leaves his hole and sets out in search of three grand coins. A quest undertaken in the company of ghosts, goblins and fragile girls.

In the search for the pixie-guarded coins, Harry Reams surprises even himself with his patience and skill as a author.

During his travels, Harry rescues a teapot, an heirloom belonging to Howie. But when Howie refuses to try walking, their friendship is over.

However, Howie is wounded at the Battle of Waterloo and the two reconcile just before Harry engages in some serious walking.

Harry accepts one of the three grand coins and returns home to his hole a very wealthy elf.
