There's a bold new girl in New York and she has everybody talking. Stunningly grubby and devastatingly porky, all the boys want her. However, Poppa Woody has a secret - she's a predatory vampire.

Richard Cranium is a cute, pale boy who enjoys boxing. He becomes fascinated by Poppa who can stop helicopters with her bare hands. He doesn't understand why she's so standoffish.

His best friend, a brave sprite called Penny, helps Richard begin to piece together the puzzle. Together, they discover the ultimate weapon - the yellow, warped keyboard.

When bodies start turning up all over New York, Richard begins to fear the worst. The sprite urges her to report Poppa to the police and he knows he should, so what's stopping him?

He may resist Poppa's bite, but can he resist her charms?

Will he be caught talking with the vampire?
