The Getaway—The meeting

It was a couple minute past six in the evening. The sun was setting, creating a beautiful orange sky. Laughter, cheers and screams were all around as the beach seemed to bring with it a sense of joy and happiness. Tony watched everyone closely, as he wondered how something he despised so much could bring so much joy to so many. One man’s food really was another’s poison, he thought to himself.

Reality caught back up with him when a figure he recognized but had never actually seen in the real world, appeared from a distance. The figure came with a slender outlook wearing a peach gown, or was it pink? Tony really had difficulty identifying colours and the orange of the sky wasn't helping at all. For some reason, Tony knew the figure was Miss Mystery, so he left where he was and walked up to her. Within seconds, his mystery lady was within touching distance. He didn’t know what to say at first, so he just bought more time with a hug.

Miss mystery was small, slender and curvy in the right places. She really wasn’t photogenic, or maybe it was the orange sky, but she was prettier than all her photos put together. They exchanged pleasantries and decided to walk back to the hotel together, so they each could freshen up and grab a decent meal after the not so short journey. Tony doing his best to keep his astonished look and opinions to himself. It was too early for the flattery, he whispered to himself.

Having booked the deluxe suite, it wasn’t a problem for these two strangers to get comfortable easily. They had two separate rooms to themselves, all built in the very enchanting deluxe suite. Their first dinner together happened at the hotel's four-star restaurant. It was a romantic evening filled with stories and laughter. Anyone would think they were a couple, but they were just friends or a derivative of it. Previous discussions prior to their meeting had seen them coin out a comfortable relationship base for them. Tony and Dawn, yes!!! Her name was Dawn, maybe that’s why Tony was overwhelmed with her, Hahaha! Well, they both connected on so many levels, so it wasn’t difficult for them to achieve a balanced friendship. It was the perfect form of relationship for both of them.

Tony and Dawn stumbled into their hotel room laughing and slightly buzzed. You would think they would jump unto the sheets and get busy. But this wasn't that sort of friendship. They did, however, jump unto the sheets at some point, but they just cuddled up as they saw a movie and discussed late into the night, before falling asleep.

The new day brought with it a surprise and a demise.
