First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
Guess what, another rainy Sunday. At least the grass is looking green and lush from all the rain. So my day started like most other Sundays, drinking coffee while washing up. I asked my boy if he was going swimming this Sunday, he looked puzzled for a while and then pronounced that he did not want to go today. So I didn't have to rush off early to the shop (and take some photos for this post), I'd do those on the way to visit my Dad later.
Elf on a swing, yes the Elf's are back December has started so the seasonal decorations are in demand. Which meant after my Bacon Sandwich today I had to go rooting around in the attic for all the Christmas decorations, not a favourite task clambering up through the small attic hatch with the use of step ladders, and then bring box after box back down. So while in the middle of teetering on the step ladders with a few precariously balanced boxes of fragile baubles - the boy emerges from his room and informs me he wants to go Swimming! Considering it had already reached 2pm, and the Swimming Baths close at 4pm (well the pool does) that required some hasty lobbing of decorations out the attic and getting set off.
It also sent all my plans for photographs out of the window, like this photo - out of the window of the car on the way to the Swimming baths!
The swimming baths at least have some shrubbery, knowing it's going to be dark when we leave this is the last gasp photos effort.
And they have a tree, perfect for a moody uptree shot.
Quite impressive bark on the tree as well.
After visiting my Dad and making Sunday Lunch for him, we headed home and took a quick look at the Christmas Tree in Brighouse town centre - modestly decorated this year.
And a #FunkyEdit to Finish, this street in Bradford has taken on a whole new look!

Green and Blue is a perfect combination. Festive season has started and London will soon be glittering in lights. I am sure you will get some pictures for us.
Thank you very much, actually I arrived at 4.30pm on Tuesday to prep the roaster I was demonstrating, left at 7.30pm for my hotel and got back to the site at 7am. Left at 9am and drove straight back to work!

Haha, I never did take up that elf on the shelf thing. I am already way too busy for that, so cudos to you for going the extra mile, I bet the kids love it!
Thank you very much, I don’t really get the elf thing myself - it’s a relatively new thing I believe that has taken over - marketing people now how to sell stuff! I might move then about a bit if I remember!

Yes, it seems pretty new, I dont remember that being around when I was a kid. I see how it could be a cute tradition though. I see lots of people doing creative things with them. ;)
man that first photo is absolutely beautiful. the big sky and lots of greens. and i like the stones because it looks like its handmade :)
Those dry stones were hand made, and it’s a craft skill - the stones are all irregular sizes so combining them to make a solid wall is very hard work. No mortar either - they are held together by gravity and choosing good matching stones for a tight fit. You could walk up to that and take it apart too down like a jigsaw. But it’s rock solid as it is, would keep a cow in even if it rammed it!

I have been less than energetic in getting much of the Christmas decorations. I mean if I want to see some beautiful decorations, I can just hop over to a @dswigle post LOL.
I know what you mean, @dswigle seems to have captured Christmas and is letting just a little bit out with every post. And she seems to have an endless supply of glittery baubles to entice us with.
I drag them out and leave everyone else to put them up. It’s non stop work for me now until Christmas Eve.

Bummer. Wet and grey just like where I am
Pretty standard for the UK at this time of year, we get the odd crisp clear day but mostly grey and damp. Let’s see what happens next Sunday, I’m hoping for a good photo day or two.
