Sublime Sunday-A Walk On The Wild Side
My submission to @sublimesunday intiated by @c0ff33a is a walk through the forest adjacent to the lawn.
The first thing I made for was the places where I knew the elusive Lady Slippers grew.
These lovely flowers will only grow where they feel like it and they like to be hidden in the forest.
Lady Slippers
Lady Slipper is the Provincial flower of Prince Edward Island. Many were still not fully bloomed but these ones were catching more sunlight and matured first.
There were many other wild flowers to be found on the forest floor, such as these ones I call Star Flowers.
Ferns were growing along the stream that runs through the forest.
An anthill along the side of the path. I hope the ants stay there in the forest and don’t try to invade the house.
A woodpecker or a yellow-bellied sapsucker made an interesting design on this Hawthorn Tree.
Some birch trees had fallen down from the winter storms and a group of birches look like they exploded.
The fallen wood will not be wasted as Hubby will used it for firewood.
Fungi or as I call them fairy steps on a standing dead tree and in the lower photo, nature reclaiming a old tree stump.
Our spring is cooler than normal. The Maple Tree leaves are behind in fully filling out.
Throughout the forest there are random apple trees. Not really good eating apples but a source of food for the animals and birds.

Really love those pictures @redheadpei! I see you're also using the EOS Rebel, I have the same one but still learning how to get the most out of it.
Thanks @daan. I think it is Crosheille that has one too. I got two other lenses, 50mm and 75-300mm. that I use more than the Rebel kit lense. The 50mm I like for the bokeh background it will give.

The photography in this post is just stunning, what an incredible journey through this forest - so much of natures finest to enjoy I can almost smell the ferns growing by the stream.
The fairy step mushrooms growing on the tree is just wonderful, lovely photo and really gives you the feeling of being in a deeply wooded area.
