Sublime Sunday: Halloween Pizza

First I looked outside this morning and saw, although the temperature is way above freezing, it was going to be a dismal day with the rain.

Part of the back yard. Fall has definitely set in and there are plenty of leaves blowing around.





Halloween is close and what better than making Halloween decorated food to get in the mood this Sublime Sunday.





Dee @deerjay gave me the idea to make a pizza shaped like a pumpkin when I saw it in her post yesterday.

....Ok, this pizza is not perfect but a bit weird looking and sublime.

I often make a homemade pepperoni and cheese pizza on Sunday for Hubby.

It’s actually easy to make as long as the dough for the crust is ready.

• I make about four-five balls of dough up at a time, freeze them and take one out to defrost when I need to make a pizza.

• The dough has to be worked and stretched to fill the pizza pan.

• Tomato paste is used for the base with some of my own tomatoes chopped in.

• Spice it up with oregano and a bit of a jalapeños pepper, chopped fine.

• Pepperoni slices and three different cheeses are added.

• Bake at 350 for about 20 Min.

• Broil on Hi for a couple Min. - until the cheese bubbles.

Hadn’t saved enough of the pepperoni to use for the eyes and mouth ~ I used raisins.

I don’t think Hubby was overly impressed with eating the raisins in the eyes and teeth but said it all tasted good.

We had a good laugh over the stem of the Halloween pizza and how it should be eaten.

That’s how my Sublime Sunday started - rain and a Halloween pizza.
