The seed project continued
During summer, I got lazy making crosses with the Haworthia although to be honest, there weren't any flowering simultaneously that I thought would make appealing combinations until these 2 started flowering and I succeeded in getting quite a few seed pods to form.
Haworthia groenwaldii and a natural hybrid of H. maughanii and H. truncata
This combination should produce plants that are either similar to the one on the left but chunkier or the patterns on the windows of the plant on the right could get interesting.
As for the others, the intergeneric cross of Haworthiopsis and Haworthia is sprouting, so the seeds were viable, it will be very interesting to see what results from the crossing of hard-leaved and soft-leaved plants
The older seedlings are showing distinct signs of the plants that they will become:
Cute little windows and vein patterns. A hybrid of Haworthia bayeri, comptoniana and cuspidata
Lines of little white tubercules: A complex hybrid
The seedlings will still take another two years or so to really look like anything. People often wonder why Haworthia hybrids could be so expensive but the fact remains that it takes many years of dedication to produce interesting plants
Very very interesting, I look forward to future updates!
I enjoy growing succulents from seed, do you also do this
Two years is a long time to wait ":-(
That's the joy of succulents 🤔
Slow growers, i have a few succulents that have lasted for years.

Yeah, they are long-lived
Crossing plants is really hard work. My friend is engaged in crossing fruit trees. On one tree he grows several varieties of pears and apples.
Very interesting to see it. Just a miracle.
I think that he is grafting those
If I were home now I would be starting seeds for the children at the preschool. I don't know about you but starting seeds is so exciting to me.
Definitely
Es verdaderamente interesante esos cruces. Deben salir plantas muy llamativas. Muy bueno esos cambios. Yo no he comenzado a realizar esos híbridos con las mías. En cuanto tenga oportunidad trataré.
Interspecies hybrids are farly easy to get. Intergeneric can be more troublesome
Congratulations!
Very interesting!
Wow! These plants like you! They are coming up to greet you!
