[ESP/ENG] Un raro atardecer / A weird sunset (Entry for the SUNSET-CONTEST by @flamingirl)
Just as the title says, the weirdest sunset we've ever seen, for many reasons.
To begin with, we took the picture after a long trekking in the mountains and valley of the "Laguna de Mucubají" in the state of Merida here in Venezuela. Normally in this place there are not many colorful sunsets due to the altitude of almost 3000 masl and always surrounded by high mountain peaks that do not really let you see the sunsets because when the sun sets behind the mountains it still have a long way to go to the horizon, it is a feeling like an early sunset because that happens around 4:00 pm.
However, almost arriving at our camp, walking without stopping, only seeing our feet and the person walking in front of us, the atmosphere began to turn orange and when we looked up we realized that although they seemed the worst conditions for a golden hour the sun decided to show up right before hiding behind the mountains throught the small space that was between the gray storm clouds and the countless amount of pine trees. This picture is the result of all those things that at first seemed adverse.
It's not the perfect shot, we know. We didn't have proper lens for this conditions since were totally unexpected and we didn't have much time to find a better camera setup because this just last several seconds. Even so, we got that one that we loved and totally worth sharing.
Justo como lo dice el título, el atardecer más extraño que hemos visto, por muchas razones.
Para empezar, la foto la tomamos luego de un largo trekking en la sierra montañosa y valle de la Laguna de Mucubají en el Estado Mérida de acá de Venezuela. Normalmente en este lugar no hay muchos atardeceres coloridos debido a la altura es de casi 3000 msnm y siempre rodeado por altos picos montañosos que en realidad no dejan ver los atardeceres pues cuando el sol se esconde tras las montañas aun le queda un largo camino hasta el horizonte, es una sensación como de un temprano atardecer porque eso sucede alrededor de las 4:00 pm.
Sin embargo ya casi llegando a nuestro campamento, caminando sin parar, solamente viéndonos los pies y a la persona que caminaba frente a nosotros, el ambiente empezó a tornarse naranja y al subir la mirada nos dimos cuenta que aunque parecían las peores condiciones para una hora dorada el sol justo antes de esconderse tras las montañas decidió asomarse por ese pequeño espacio que quedaba entre grises nubes de tormenta y la incontable cantidad de pinos. Esta foto es el resultado de todas esas características que al principio parecían adversas.
No es el tiro perfecto, lo sabemos. No teníamos el objetivo adecuado para estas condiciones ya que eran totalmente inesperadas y no tuvimos mucho tiempo para encontrar una mejor configuración de la cámara porque esto sólo duraba varios segundos. Aún así, tenemos esa que amamos y que vale la pena compartir.
Authorship Proof
Well @flamingirl, we know you asked for a photo of us at sunset, or of the original photo on the camera, but since this photo was taken a couple of months ago, we hope that these 3 proofs of authorship are enough to qualify for the contest.
1 - Previous photo, which didn't turn out well at all. A lot of dirt on the lens, out of focus and with camera values that didn't favor the shot.

Bueno @flamingirl, sabemos que nos pediste una foto al atardecer, o de la foto original en la cámara, pero como esta foto fue tomada hace un par de meses, esperamos que estas 3 pruebas de autoría sean suficientes para calificar para el concurso.
1 - La foto anterior, que no resultó nada bien. Mucha suciedad en el objetivo, fuera de foco y con valores de cámara que no favorecen la toma.
