Follwing a huge crash at this weekends Italian GP series in Mantova, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing rider Romain Febvre has issued a statement and luckily its good news. The Frenchman was riding super well all day and bought home a second place in the first Moto, unfortunately though he was forced out wide and went down hard before being run over by two riders...

"2-DNF. First moto had a nice battle, ended up second and second race came first at the corner, run little bit wide and got squeezed [correction] and two riders rode on me and bike. Bike was destroyed and my ass too! Next stop LaCapelle-Marival."

After the first MX1 moto it seemed like his day was going to be ending on a high before going into the MXGP season opener at the Grand Prix of Patagonia-Argentina. This was not the case but it's good to see that 461 is ok although neither Febvre or Yamaha have commented on any injuries he might have sustained in the crash.

Hopefully he is ok but i can understand the team wanting to stay tight lipped about any issues this close to the start of a new season of the FIM World Championships. I hope everything is ok and that he will be there fit and ready for round one.
