The dust has settled at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas and the new Monster Energy Supercross champions have been crowned and their names added to the history books. It was a night of action and edge of your seat racing as only Vegas can produce. Let's check out the highlights from the nights action.

So back to recap on the winners for the day, interestingly in the 250 class none of the champions were part of the top three. Both Osborne and Plessenger knew what positions they needed to get and both had a decent points lead so both took the sensible decision to hold off and not push the limits. Last thing you want to do is wreck and lose the title i the last race because you were pushing for a win you did not need. I feel for Ciancirulo though as he fought out to get his first Main Event win of the season and also closed the gap on Plessenger to two points... Unfortunately though it was not enough... Next year i think he will be the one to watch.

Again in the 450 SX division the current champion was not part of the top three and again it was down to the same reasons as above. All Anderson needed to do was to get in the top eight and finish the race to round off his season as champ. Tomac and Musquin gave the fans everything they wanted though in the Main Event and man what a battle that was all the way to the finish. Fellow KTM rider Blake Bagget completed the top three and certainly set out his intentions ahead of the upcoming Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season. It's gonna be epic :)
