Monster Energy Supercross - Round 6 Minneapolis - 250 EX East highlights
Hi Steemers,
We were treated to an epic nights racing this weekend from round six of the Monster Energy Supercross series and 250 SX East opener in Minneapolis. Finally the rain stayed away and with a dry track came the speed and excitement that close racing has by the bucket load. The excitement was the last thing on Troy Lee Designs Factory KTM rider Jordan Smith though as his mechanics raced to swap out a rear wheel just seconds before the gate drop. Not what you need to settle the nerves on the first race in your series calendar.
If he had any nerves then Austin Forkner did not show it as he shot out in front taking the holeshot and gapping the entire field, pure masterclass from the Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider. On the other end of the luck spectrum Chase Sexton was battered all over the track with multiple crashes and costly mistakes. That being said he finished the night without injury which is always great to see.
Karma seems to have bitten Alex Martin though after taking out Davalos and causing Sexton to make a mistake in one of the track rhythm sections. Cooper pushed the Suzuki rider up high over the finishing line corner and forced the rider off the track. Luckily, again without any rider injury which is always what you wanna see if it does go bad or mistakes happen.
Check it all out in the highlights from the 250 SX Main Event.
