Ram dela Cerna is her college batchmate and he was the one who took the courage to text Lanie from the start and he knew already that Mike has another woman. Ram was Mr. Unknown. And Ram was with her through her darkest hours.
Since the two of them understand each other. Unfortunately, Mike and her woman were not in good terms. Mike already found out that he had a lung cancer. While his woman left her hanging. He was now useless and Lanie is the wife and now she is the first option.
As a wife, she knows the obligations. She took care of her children and so does her husband. She felt pity to Mike. Mike asking her and begged her not to turned her head away from him whatever it maybe. That Lanie will not going to run after Ram. Because Ram is trying to convince Lanie to go with him and live with him but Lanie was hesitant to say, yes.
KRiiinnnnnnnnnnggg!.. the sounds of her phone ringing.
Lanie picked-up the phone and he heard the voice from the other line saying,
"I'm here in the front door of your house to fetch you and I'm not going to leave unless you never say anything."
Ram said.
Lanie carelessly pack all her belongings and leave silently but...
When she hold the door knob..
"Are you leaving? Do you want to leave me? Do you want to leave us", Mike said seating in a wheelchair while he's holding her hands.
Lanie remains standing. She knows she is still a mother, a mother of her three children and she knows that she was still be his wife.
And she remembered her vows to him.
That whatever the circumtances that life may brings, they never be apart that she valued their Holy Matrimony more than anything else.
