I'm so envious of your ginger. I'd love to grow some here, but struggle with the dry heat.

Where are you from and what grows well in your climate?

oh my goodness, fresh ginger and limes, that is quite a lovely end of season harvest!

That’s true. I made some ginger, lime and honey tea and it was very nice.

So the falling leaves helps to reduces wind

No the fall leaves will just cover the weed, block sunlight and during winter it will decompose and be eaten by worms and other insects and become compost which will be food the the plants in Spring.

I water the leaves so they are wet and heavy and will not be blown away by the wind.

NICE post but almost hurts to see ginger suffering with the cold. You can list the rhizomes and store in a cool dry place till spring. Super nice to see so much tropical abundance managing and giving, even in a non-tropical world.

I have kept a few rhizomes to start a new grow pouch. Loving fresh ginger.

Your ginger is just lovely! I'm not growing it this year, but have for the previous years. And Limes! Very nice harvest!

I haven’t planted enough this year and a bit late too. Hopefully I’ll plant some more in Spring.
