Introduction

Yes, I missed last week. Yes, I'm ashamed of myself. Yes, I did a layout. No, I just couldn't write it up. It was too sad. It was too honest. It was ... pretty predictable (under the circumstances.)

I mention every so often how amazing it is when "the Tarot talks back to you." But sometimes that in-your-face candor is just too much. I don't usually wuss out, but these are not normal times, and I can't promise it won't happen again.

Anyway ... let's see if this week's layout is any more ... worthy of publication.

(Ok. Here's the layout. It's not much better. But a little. Just a little. And if I wimp out again, I'll stop speaking to myself. So ... deep breath ... deep breath. Here we go.)

This week's layout

This week's theme

The Chariot Rx = no movement / no motivation; life at a standstill; lack of commitment; being overwhelmed / out of control

(I told you it wasn't much better.)

The Chariot Rx indicates a loss of direction, even a loss of will to continue. You don't see a good way forward. You feel stalled ... possibly defeated. You are likely dealing with serious obstacles, possibly depression, extraordinary frustration ---> all of which adds up to paralysis.

You're trying to decide whether to try again, whether to change course, whether to just throw up your hands and quit. And you're not getting a lot of answers ... so far. Whatever goal you're working toward is elusive ... and defiantly out of reach.

It becomes an occasion for a lot of self-evaluation, self-questioning, self-analysis. (Among them ... is this goal worth the trouble? Are you going about it wrong? Is there another way to approach this? Is this stagnation a sign you should do something else? Where are you heading? What do you control here? How do you get back on track -- and start moving ... again?)

Inner focus is the most positive meaning. Who are you? What are you becoming? What do you want? What's really important? What can you do to improve the situation? What are your options ... if you put everything in play -- no preconceptions, no prior commitments, no existing investments ... just starting over from Square One ... what do you do?

When you're at a dead stop to this extent, when you start moving again, it can be in any direction. So ... what is it? What will it be? What's your new target? All bets are off. Where to from here?

This week's personal issue

9 of Rods = standing fast in the face of adversity; holding your position, defending yourself, being resilient, overcoming hardship, showing determination, refusing to admit defeat

You're holding on to your self-worth here despite some formidable stress. These problems haven't broken your spirit. You may be battered and bruised, but you're still on your feet. And given the misery of these cards, I guess that's something.

(In my head as I write this, I hear this quote: The place where you made your stand never mattered. Only that you were there... and still on your feet. ~ Stephen King) Suggests this card may be saying, You've proved something to yourself; call that a victory.

What is it saying to you?

This week's emotional issue

Page of Cups Rx = lack of inspiration / no creative energy ---> writer's / artist's block ---> feeling stuck ---> can indicate you are working on creative ideas privately / nothing is ready to reveal yet

Creative ideas haven't made it past the "conceptual" stage into reality. This card can also suggest you are working on a new level of creative persona that is still too undeveloped & "not ready for prime time." You may be trying to figure out how to work with some new materials -- or how exactly to express your ideas. This card indicates a lot of mulling, a lot of experimenting, maybe a whole lot of fretting -- but not much to show for it so far.

The "you" who owns this energy is still trying to find his feet. (You might want to talk to him -- or her -- and see what s/he has to say.) Ask specifically how you can help each other -- and then listen! Answers come in mysterious ways.

This week's intellectual issue

6 of Swords Rx = (Jeez, the fun never ends.) stewing, worrying, fretting, questioning, purging outmoded & inappropriate ideas, reaching a different level of awareness, releasing flawed perspectives, coming to different conclusions you don't fully trust yet, struggling to be rational & objective -- and not always succeeding at it

Shows a time of major change in thinking and perspective, moving from one level to another -- where you're not stable yet. Indicates a time of transition -- intellectual, spiritual, personal. A time of challenging old beliefs and possibly replacing them, figuring out what ideas don't work / which ones are impeding your progress / letting go of unproductive concepts and directions & replacing them ... which is itself an arduous process. Coming to a new definition of truth. (And if this is an idea or opinion you've tried to avoid in the past, there's still that resistance to overcome.)

Changing your mind is simple -- but it's rarely easy ... and it's rarely comfortable. Letting go of a deeply entrenched notion or belief can sometimes throw your whole framework of reality into question ... even to the point of questioning what's real and what do you really know -- for certain. Changing your mind may require that you understand life differently, that you view some of your past decisions / convictions / prejudices, beliefs, etc., differently. That structure may be more fragile than you realize -- especially once you start taking bricks out of it.

This week's practical issue

5 of Pentacles = impoverishment, lack of financial security, lack of prosperity consciousness, "failure mode" on a material level

Fundamentally, this card indicates a crisis in values serious enough to manifest in physical reality. It shows a lack of security, lack of safety, lack of faith in your ability to deal with this. It can show exhaustion and illness. It can show self-sabotage -- and lack of self-confidence. It can show fear of not having enough. Work on your prosperity consciousness. Work on manifesting abundance. Take things one step at a time. Practice gratitude. Start small but be sincere.

Minor Arcana 5s show temporary conditions. It also shows the transition point between having "barely enough" to having plenty. Focus on that.

(This was also exactly the card in this position in last week's layout. The one I wouldn't publish. Don't talk to me.)

Hello from the Steemit Tarot community!

@steemittarot began as a way to curate all the Tarot Tuesday posts that starting popping up on the site. Now the hope is to connect all readers, people interested in learning about the cards, and other assorted people bearing good juju.

.................

Now I have to thank you for not posting last week.

I knew you'd see it my way.

Oh, and I wanted to let you know you were missed last week, and I totally get what it's like when the cards are being obnoxiously upfront like that. Sending loads of bright blessings your way.

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I appreciate them. And sometimes I have to remind myself ... The Tarot doesn't have to be tactful. it's not like a rule or anything. And sometimes, it really is not!

You're very welcome, and no worries - I need that reminder too on a regular basis (and yes, my Tarot is hardly ever tactful with me...LOL!)
