The Major Arcana represents the greater path of the spirit and as such the herbs on the cards are suggested to aid the soul to reach awakening and realization. Today's three card spread includes 2 Major Arcana cards.
1st Card 🌐The World🌐 Comfrey Symphytum Officinalise Saturn
Comfrey is one of my favorite herbs! I've used it mostly as a medicinal topical oil for joint and muscle pain. I use it in my garden as a fermented juice to feed all other plants.
The World card has all the elements in it, Fire(sun), Water(rain), the Earth(roots), and Air(sky). Comfrey representing the World is used both internally and externally to unite torn flesh and broken bones. Known as boneset or boneknit it can fuse bones back together. How amazing is that! A mild tea can reduce heat in the body and helps to prevent lung infections. All parts of the plant are medicinal, the roots are taken as a demulcent for ulcers, internal injuries, bleeding, as well to moisten and strengthen the lungs.
This card symbolizes coming to together, to mend, heal, succeed. (vote?)
To unite and join together in feeling of union and success is your message from the World card.
2nd Card ⚔️Eight of Swords⚔️ Black Cohosh Cimicifuga Racemosae
Black Cohosh is used as a tonic, nervine, emmenagogue, antispasmodic. Used for neurological afflictions, chorea, epilepsy, pain for liver, childbirth, premenstrual pains, cramps, promotes menses and helps regulate hormones by keeping cool fire energies in body.
The picture depicts a bound person, blocked and surrounded by weapons that cut and stab. There are blocked or restrained energies lurking. Movement needs to happen, stagnation or subconscious thoughts are keeping you prisoner. Let the truth and sharpness of the sword cut that which binds you, so you can become present with all your concerns.
Black Cohosh can assist move and shake up this bound energy.
3rd Card ⚔️The Emperor⚔️ Atractylodes Atractylodes Albae Aries, ruled by Mars
The root of Atractylodes is used for increasing the power of digestion, meaning a carminative it is a diuretic, tonic and reduces abdominal bloating and gas.
This being the second of the Major Arcana cards today, the Emperor represents protection, greatness and importance to achieve ones goals and dreams. He has the power to organize and lead his Empire. With a sword in his left hand he protects his people and ideas and convictions. His staff he holds as a badge of honor and wisdom. He sits on a red rock, perhaps symbolizing the Mars and strength he has to complete his legacy.
This card seems so simple, stoic and solid, however not that easy to achieve. Many of us dream of a planet being guided with clear, truthful, loving, conscious leaders. As old paradigms are being revealed in this information age, we will be tested to call on the Emperor within each of us to make this planet a better place.
Greatness comes with confidence and well rooted foundations. As we look to the Atractylodes roots we strengthen our convictions and missions here on planet Awesome.
These cards today call on us to reach out to Earth's medicines and find wisdom and assistant with the true magic of our matrix as global citizens.
