The Philosophy of Mars Kitchen

When you hear "MARS" you might think something strange. However, this restaurant in South Jakarta Indonesia, does not present a foreign thing. On the contrary, you will be made familiar with the taste of healthy food.

The name Mars Kitchen is taken from the name of the owner who is a chef: Chef Marinka. Mars Kitchen means Marinka's Kitchen.

Mars Kitchen is a beautiful little restaurant with a primary focus on serving healthy food from organic ingredients and gluten free.

All healthy food recipes on Mars Kitchen need no doubt about their delicacy and nutrition. This is because the recipes made by a celebrity chef graduated from French Cuisine & Patisserie Le Cordon Bleu, Sydney, Australia.

Chef Marinka founded this healthy culinary business because she wants to share a healthy lifestyle that she has lived for a long time, to others, especially to the people in the busy city of Jakarta.

In Chef Marinka's interview with the Geo Times, there was her father's figure which was the reason Chef Marinka founded Mars Kitchen:

"Coincidentally my father died of complications, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Papa is my inspiration to create delicious but healthy dishes," said Chef Marinka.

About The Place and Decoration

South Jakarta is famous for its young people who popular and like to play Instagram! Many people who are popular as artists only start from Instagram. That's why restaurants and cafes in the South Jakarta area must be Instagram-able! The owner of Mars Kitchen makes this healthy restaurant a healthy and enjoyable place because of its beautiful decor!

On the front, the seat looks like a swing that has a rope and rests against a wall. I feel the cool atmosphere when sitting in this area.

There are also various furniters that are dominated by warm woods and make visitors feel at home even in this small place!

I accidentally came here the opening hours so it wasn't crowded and I could take lots of photos about this place.

This place also provides funny photo spots and is certainly a favorite of women who like to take pictures in a beautiful and unique place on Mars Kitchen!

The Favorite Menu and My Picks!

The dish that must be tried when it comes to popular restaurants is a menu of proven recommendations that are in demand by customers. So, I chose the favorite menu in this place which of course became my favorite choice.

I chose offerings: Baked Rice, Carrot Cake, and Eye Bright

Baked Rice

Baked rice consists of organic ingredients: organic rice (white rice, black rice, or red rice, and my choice is red rice); an then wrapped and baked in banana leafs with organic steamed-then-grilled chicken; cashew nut, mushroom & green chillies.

I really like red rice mixed with healthy ingredients and of course I like the spicy taste of this menu! Yeah, I'm a spicy enthusiast!

The aroma of banana leaves wrapped around rice makes this food smell good which makes my mood better.

Eye Bright

Drinks on Mars Kitchen consist of juices with organic ingredients. I chose a juice called "Eye Bright" because this juice is good for the eyes! I, as a writer, of course must be diligent in consuming this juice so that my eyes are always healthy and I can produce writing continuously!

Desserts

To be honest, I'm here because I want the famous Carrot Cake in this little restaurant! The taste of Carrot Cake here even exceeds my expectations! The texture perfects the taste! Tasty and healthy because of gluten free! It's hard to find a delicious and healthy cake!

I also promised to come back to this restaurant because the Carrot Cake!

Mars Kitchen makes culinary lovers aware that healthy food does not have a foreign flavor. We can start a healthy life with healthy food, and don't forget to also run other healthy lifestyles like workout.
